The apartment was excellent! Lots of fun Rock 'n Roll things to look at and even a few instruments, including a piano! The space was very clean and the binder explained everything clearly. Our party consisted of six adults. We felt at-home right away. The host was very attentive and pleasant! Next time, we'll stay on the Abbey Road apartment!! Highly recommend! - Beth

So comfortable, so chic, so interesting! We found everything we needed, and more. On street parking in the neighborhood was easy, our host was welcoming and informative, and our stay was just simply delightful. We particularly enjoyed seeing our host’s wonderful original artworks.

This place was such a good find! Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and in a fantastic & safe location. It was a cute little urban dream to stay over a coffee shop & bar! Coming down to get coffee in the mornings was such a treat. Can't say enough good things about it! If you're looking to stay in Chicago, this is the place.

This rock & roll themed apartment is super cool, in a fun location, and is above both a bar and a café, which was super convenient! Rob runs the coffee place, so it was fun to catch up with him every morning before heading out for the day. would highly recommend, and will be back.

Great place to stay for walking distance for food and entertainment. The apartment is very private and peaceful and on the second floor with one flight of stairs to go up. It's secured with the downstairs outside door locked along with your apartment door. We loved the coffee shop and bar downstairs with the free live bands.

Our family of five stayed here for a quick visit to Chicago. We loved the neighborhood and the ease of getting to and from the city. We would definitely stay here again.

Rob & Lacy’s Songbird Suite definitely exceeded my expectations - it was perfect for me! Great location for my needs, coffee downstairs in the morning, drinks in the bar at night, the friendliest people I’ve ever met. The artistic, music-themed decor suited me to a “T.” From the moment I arrived I was welcomed like a friend, and by the time I left I was sad to leave my “Friendly Community.” Prospective renters should be aware that there are formidable stairs to reach the apartment. Also, there IS traffic noise from the busy road, but that did not bother me, although it might not suit some people. As an older woman traveling alone, I always felt completely safe, even walking in the neighborhood. All in all, I could not have found a better place to stay during my visit to the Chicago area. Because of its proximity to my son’s apartment, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else and I can’t wait to stay with Rob and Lacy again!

Location was perfect for our trip, Walking distance to FitzGerald’s to see a few concerts. Plenty of great dining options in the area. The attached bar and coffee shop was a great place to hang out. Also only a 10 minute walk to the Blue Line if you want to go to the city. The space was clean and as described and met all of our needs. Would not hesitate to rebook this space for future trips to the area!

I had a really good stay at the Songbird Suite. I came in expecting to have a noisy apartment, far away from downtown, as the trade off for having a relatively affordable unit with no roommates. But to my surprise, I actually almost never dealt with the noise that the description warns about. I did come in the summer, so perhaps the bar downstairs is busier during other times of the year. But I only heard noise coming from it twice, well before sleeping hours, and even then it was faint. Everything else was really good and the apartment was very clean when I arrived, with a fun yet homey feel. The one issue I had was the AC was broken when I arrived, but Lacy and Rob got it looked at and fixed in two days. I honestly think the whole situation is a testament to them being very diligent. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
